Your apology alone covered the cost

Today, afternoon, I had planned to meet my old friends Kunal and Sanjeev. They are part of the Somascan community. I’ve always believed that nothing happens by accident in life. Every action and reaction has a purpose and meaning. For Christians, someone who leaves the seminary is often seen as committing a grave mistake. Though perceptions have changed a lot, the after-effects are still tough to bear. I left the seminary in 2019, during my second year of college. I was allowed to study at Dharmaram College, so I stayed with my uncle. Life outside the seminary was completely new to me. After living six years in a religious community, I didn’t know how to mingle with people, talk to girls, use a smartphone, or even withdraw money from an ATM. My uncle had a tough time teaching me everything. Life after the seminary wasn't easy for me. I felt isolated, but Kunal and Sanjeev came into the picture. They played a vital role in my life. Despite knowing my mistakes and quirks, they never ...

MahaRaja

Yesterday, I was feeling a bit moody after work and wanted to go for a ride or eat out. Tom, my paying guest mate, preferred street food, but I wasn't as interested. So, I convinced him to join me for a night show instead. Even though we usually meet, we never really had a deep connection until after my break-up, when he became my best friend. I often feel that I couldn't have survived without him, and I've told him this as well. That's a bit personal; let's dive into the matter. So, we decided to watch a Tamil movie called "Maharaja." The script and the director's creativity were extremely admirable. Tom wanted to watch a horror movie called "Exorcism," but I wanted something more realistic and fun, so I persuaded him to watch "Maharaja." For the 10:30 PM show, Tom decided to take a bath at 10:25 PM. It takes at least 10-15 minutes to reach the mall from our place, so I screamed and teased him, but he took his time and came out at...

Heal Yourself = The Better YOU

There are two approaches: One involves requesting others to behave in a manner that avoids causing us harm, while the other entails adapting ourselves so that the behavior of others no longer affects us negatively. The first approach is relatively straightforward, whereas the second is more challenging. However, if we cultivate the second approach as a permanent fixture in our lives, we can confront any difficult experience with a smile. With a bright smile 😊. This second approach necessitates a few key elements: 1. Ensuring that our own conduct is just. 2. Recognizing that correctness on our part does not automatically validate our actions or viewpoint. When we act in accordance with what is right, we must also pair it with appropriate behavior. 3. Treating others as we would like to be treated. 4. Keeping love as the ultimate objective in all that we do. #Build Happily YOURSELF  Wish you the Best 😇

Cleansing of the Temple (MARK 11:15)

Image
In this gospel passage, we can see that Jesus Christ driving out from the temple the traders who made god’s house a house of merchandise. Jesus practices his piety by going to the Jerusalem temple for Passover, and that was a Passover day. In the temple, He finds what any pilgrim could expect to find during a festival: a place bustling with religious and economic activity. Jesus focuses, not on the cattle, sheep, and doves that were used for sacrifices, but on the activity of selling. St. Paul advises us whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). But here, Jesus recognizes that their activities were filled with selfish motives rather than the glory of God. They were more concerned with selling and buying and all other worldly affairs instead of attending the religious exercises. Their religious practices were merely for money-making.  There is a story about Leonardo Davinci. After drawing the picture of ‘the last supp...

Ananias and his wife Sapphira were, according to the Acts of the Apostles chapter 5, members of the early Christian church in Jerusalem. The account records their sudden deaths after lying to the Holy Spirit about money.
